Positive themes in a world music setting
Another world music project. Of course I love experimenting with sounds and music motifs from other cultures, hopefully without engaging in appropriation – an important and complex topic. In the case of this particular album, I enjoy coming back to some of the compositions and performances. Leroy’s acoustic guitar on Night Flights always moves me – as do some of the melodies and harmonic direction of some of the other pieces.
